Stanford’s new AI tool ‘STORM’ uses AI to write Wikipedia-style articles based on a provided topic. It’s currently free to use - just provide it with the topic you’re wanting to explore and within a minute or two it will return an article for you, including references!

OpenAI's new large language model, o1, marks an advancement in the capabilities of chatbots, particularly in scientific tasks. o1 has been found to outperformed PhD-level scholars in some tasks 😱.
MIT researchers have developed "Future You," an AI tool that allows users to interact with an AI-generated simulation of their potential future selves. By engaging in a text-based conversation, users can gain insights on personal goals, career paths, and overall well-being. While I can't help think it's a little problematic to outsource life planning to a bot, it does open up possibilities as a tool to complement more traditional forms of career and life planning.
A proposal paper outlining the consultation on the “mandatory guardrails for artificial intelligence (AI) in Australia” aims to establish a framework that ensures the safe and responsible use of AI technologies. Key areas of focus include risk management, ethical considerations, and compliance requirements for AI developers and users.
